Found this sad house in Stone City, IL. If you are ever out that way, near Lake and Mannheim Road, you have to check out DELUXE DINER. Amazing owners and food. They serve jalapenos with everything... my kind of people! _b

Shephen Shore

Traveled up to Milwaukee last weekend to see the Stephen Shore Biographical Landscape show at the Haggerty Museum of Art on Marquette's campus. The show was really good. Had lots of work from Uncommon Places and American Surfaces, but also had tons of early black and white work I had not seen before. Also a section of postcards he made with his own photographs in the early 70's and secretly placed at various stores throughout Texas that were unknowingly purchased. (all photos © Stephen Shore) _b
