new photo book

I'm currently editing through some images for a new book I am "self-publishing" about life in the suburbs of a major American city. I should have it completed in about a week. _b

I like how even on your days off, when I drag you to the suburbs, you still have a smile on your face.... Thanks for being such a good (and hott) photo assistant! _b

DAVEY, this one's for you.

briansorgfoto... updates

I've made a couple changes to my "professional" photography site: briansorgfoto. The majority of them being small updates to the interface; to hopefully make things easier for the viewer. When the semester is finished here at Columbia College, I'll throw up lots of new work from the photographs I have been shooting in Chicago's western suburbs. Check back. _b

constructing nature ...

I recently used Apple's service of publishing photo books through iPhoto. I got the book in the mail exactly one week after I uploaded the files to them. They offer a couple different options as far as hard / soft covers, sizes, and such. I chose the soft cover 6x8 version. The quality of the book is fair. The images could be a little sharper and the paper stock they use is a semigloss, which I am not a big fan of. But for the price and ease of the service and not to mention having a published (kinda) book with your name on it is kinda cool. I think if you have a small project your working on, some party photos, or for the purpose of a leave behind, the iPhoto books are worth the money. Mine was based on the fabrication of Chicago's Millennium Park. _b
